The knives themselves are very sharp, from other reviews I see complaints of rusting, but Ive owned knives from Zwilling in the past and you must dry them immediately after handwashing, and a thin coat of oil for protection doesnt hurt. After researching and trying out several products most of them which were made in China, I settled on this classic. I went for the basic set with everything I needed and nothing more. the quality seems to be very good and overall I am happy. I have only had the product for a short while, and I am trying to take care of it by not using dish washer and wiping dry etc. but still concerned about rust. Lets see how they hold up over time. Great little set with everything we need—appreciate the built in sharpener. My only “issue” and only because of the way my kitchen is designed, I have to pull the block out away from the wall as it is too tall to directly draw the knife out under our cabinets. I waited to write a review to see how they performed. My Wife loves the Knife set and there is no Rust on any of the Knives, she always makes sure they are completely dry before storing them in the Wood holder. This is my go to knife for almost all of my cutting and chopping needs. The handle is shaped for comfort and ease of use. The blade is super thing and sharp. I love the rounded end. I use it to scoop out avocado after cutting it in half and for certain spreads that I have prepared. Too, it’s size make is perfect for when you have many ingredients on the cutting board.
