Overall, this is perfect for my needs. There are a couple of downsides. A little difficult to changes temperatures. The feature I thought I would love (but actually don't) is that you don't see a definitive line where the pot goes. Now I'm wishing I could see it just a bit better. Isn't porcelain some type of ceramic? I wonder how they turn it into a surface layering for this stove. I think they did a great job. The burners are also pretty solid. Cast iron grate seems hard-wearing. The grates on my old range eventually began to rust, which I doubt would happen to the grates on this one. But, I think it's too black, but that's just me.
