I love raw oysters and was curious how these might work. I have a regular oyster shucker but it is big, heavy and bulky. This set looked attractive and to be easy for each person to use individually. But I wanted to try one set out myself first. I have not yet purchased oysters to test (not the easiest item to find fresh in Denver CO!) but I am very impressed with how the tools appear to work. You have a silicone gripper and a beautiful, double-edged knife for inserting to pry them apart. The set is quite attractive in appearance and unique, as well. It looks well made (and is beautifully packaged, too!). I like this set so much, I may just purchase more without even trying them out first!

First time I have even seen an oyster shucker with a holder for the oyster shell. This set is amazing! Hubby had to try it out and could hardly wait for me to take a photo. Makes shucking oysters so easy even I can do it!!!
