This knife, the blade shape, makes cutting of things like stick pepperoni, of smoked sausage, so simple and easy. No effort at all. The texture on the handles add a very nice feel in the hand in addition to the comfort of the weight and balance. The blade is sharp from the start, and the guard fits wonderfully. I like the guard because it protects the edge from any damage in a drawer, on a counter, even on a magnetic knife rail where I keep mine.

I touched the blade by accident ever so slightly the day I bought it and it gave me a very clean cut. Heavy and flat enough to smash garlic. All one piece so no worries about the blade coming away from the handle. Our last knife had some weird pink coating which started to flake off - so nice to see this is all one piece steel.
