It is smaller than I expected but we think it will work. Barn doors are not installed yet.

I bought this to replace a latch that I have on my built in cabinets that was old and covered in layers of paint. This matched perfectly to keep the older vintage look of my built.

I needed a smaller but substantial latch for a decorative window shutter I'm making (using a carved wooden wall panel that I'm also purchasing from this site). Everything else I could find in cast iron was too large and heavy for this application. This latch is a quality weight and sturdy design while not looking mass produced and industrial. Just the perfect balance of form and function for my purposes, so I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Solid and well-made. Our Catskills cottage has all hand-made doors and when we added on a second bedroom and bath we wanted the same look and feel. These latches completed the picture perfectly and they were a fraction of the cost of speciality hardware suppliers.
