I loved the picture of this light. Unfortunately, I did not experience it hanging in my dining room as the fixture itself needs to be assembled by a qualified electrician prior to installation and would require a non-standard ceiling medallion (the mount is only about 2 inches wide x 4 feet long). With those added complications and expenses this light was sadly, returned to Perigold. I can say that the materials to be assembled all seemed to be of a nice quality.. Not an electrician. This is definitely one of the most beautiful light fixtures I have ever seen! Purchased this for a clients dining room and paid extra for the upgrade for Swarovski crystals- when you see it in person it is totally worth it. The rainbow prism brilliance is so pretty- photos really don't do it justice. Cons: be prepared to spend 3+ hours for 2 people to add each individual crystal- take your time and add each one in the order they specify with the directions. Each different crystal arrived in separately packaged tissue paper bundles and labeled to correspond with the directions. Approximately 4 of the tiny holes in the metal frame were not drilled out completely to accept the wire on the crystals, so we had to get clever and utilize the extra wire hooks that were provided to secure them to the metal frame- despite that, I still feel its worth the 5 star rating because it is so beautiful. They recommend 40 watt maximum bulbs- we used 25 watt and feel that is perfect- there are 13 bulbs. Its a bit tricky to get the bulbs in through all the crystals- they recommend doing that before adding the crystals. The ceiling mount plate is very shiny, almost mirror like. There is plenty of wire/ electrical cord- which worked well for the clients 12' ceilings- we mounted it so the bottom of the fixture was 48" from the top of the table which worked perfectly for that room. For size reference, the dining table shown is 94" long. It is so pretty we didn't want to turn it off! Love it- worth the effort to put it together.. barbara. Minneapolis,MN. 2019-08-18 13:57:22
