This rustic home office desk features an industrial welded iron pipe base with a natural marble top. The marble will feature variances such as light to medium gray and may contain streaks of white. This desk possesses functionality while also making a statement.

This desk is beautiful. the working surface is great, and very attractive. The desk is *extremely* sturdy (and heavy). I would recommend having its spot picked out and paying for assembly delivery. Once it is together it is not interested in moving anywhere. (For us - this was the first piece to arrive in a new house/empty room, and it takes two people to budge it). The mahogany wood desk is wrapped in ropey cherry veneer with a Lyric finish. Dark geometric inlays on the top emerge from the veneer’s natural starburst pattern. Ferules and trim are finished in satin brass. Satin brass hardware with antique mirror detail opens the desk’s 1 sliding drawer.

The desk is a beautiful wood however it only has one drawer. The worst part about that drawer is that it is extremely low in height. The organizer I had which was less than 2 inches tall would not fit in this drawer. Additionally the drawer pulls look cheap painted in gold and the drawer does not function smoothly. Attractiveness 5 stars. Functionality 0 stars. Drawers are sticky, thus the round pulls are worthless for getting the drawers open. File cabinet hardware is set for legal sized folders. There could have been a simple solution, a small slit in the metal hanging devices that would accommodate letter sized folders, but no - very poor design. Also, the file drawers only open about 1/2 way, so files in the back are hidden. And, the drawer guides are extremely poor given the weight of the drawers. Save your money, as this desk was expensive! Keep looking and try other sites rather than Josh and Main! Also, the matching book case finally came with one of the doors broken.
