I have been eyeing Hestan for a year or more. I know it’s pricey. But for me I am almost 40. My husband and I have been married for over a year and our current pot and pan situation is a mix from our college days and donations from various family members trying to rid of their old pots and pan. You know how that goes. So I have been doing investigations on the best pans in the market. Making my various pro and con lists. I was considering scan pan. But with Hestan. Yes it’s a lot. But I won’t be replacing them in 5-10 years from now. They are meant to last. Per all the reviews. I know I want pan that I put in the dishwasher and don’t have to worry about it being injured from my amateur cooking skills. I love the feel of the pan. The handle all of that. When I picked up the all clads in the store they are too like straight or not like ergonomic for my petite frame. I want to eventually get the whole set of pans. But since we were moving. And my husbands old saucepan had been beaten up and the non stick wearing off. I was like ok time to try the 1.5 qt. I had a wayfair coupon and wedding money to spend. On something that is essential to my kitchen. It has cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher. I only wash the lid by hand since that isn’t nanobond. The saucepan. Had little water marks coming out of the dishwasher which I don’t mind but they do have a polish they sell if you are displaying your pots. I heated up some brown sugar and butter. Which turned out great. Only tip I got from Hestan when I called about the different pans. Was it you have an electric stove with coils. I am delighted with the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Triple Ply Saucepan with Cover! It is a good, heavy pan that holds heat well and cleans up well. After burning the inexpensive pots I previously used to make oatmeal each morning, I replaced them with the Cuisinart and the difference is marked. I have not used it on heat higher than the medium setting on my gas stove and I am using only wooden utensils inside the pot. It has cooked beautifully with no hot spots. This pot is beautiful. It has a heavy bottom and cleans up nicely. If you can see the water line in the photo it is showing 4 cups of water. It holds more liquid than it looks like. It also heats water quickly on our propane stove. I hope there are going to be more for sale. Maybe bigger one. It took a while to get here because it was on backorder but I understand why. I am learning as I go. Buying pans and realized this was the better of the Demeyere line, depending on whom you spoke to. I am pleased about that because I am buying very slowly, on sale and do not mind mixing brands. I could not seem to find a set I liked with the quality and what I wanted in it. I did not want to compromise myself. I have done enough of that in my life. Pans are for making amazing food for people to enjoy. I don't want to buy just "okay" pans at this age. I'm living now for the first time in many years and it feels great. I might buy all Atlantis. Looking at a 5.5 quart right now. Have many pans that are not Demeyere.
