We are very pleased with the clock and the ease of assembling what little there was to do. There is one minor flaw. the battery holder for the pendulum is for batteries with a larger diameter. Normally available AA batteries don't stay in place. In addition, one of the contact springs had green corrosion on the surfaces that contact the base of a battery. We have cleaned the corrosion and will look for tubing that will add apparent size to the batteries. The motorized geared dial is suspended on top of tubular metal posts finished in charcoal grey with a wooden accent panel finished in amber brown. The dial's wood border is finished in amber brown, with the inner background in charcoal grey and the motorized gears in aged silver. The dial has Roman numerals, bar hour markers, and hour and minute hands finished in brushed aged silver.
