The NASA Clean Air Study concluded that houseplants promote better air quality in your home. The study by NASA found that houseplants actively remove chemical pollutants from the air. They grow best in low to medium light. While it tolerates low light, it grows fastest in brighter conditions. Allow the top inch or so of the soil to dry between waterings. It hates overly moist or soggy soil. If the tips of the leaves of your Snake Plant are brown, boost humidity by grouping it with other houseplants. Fertilize the snake plant a few times a year, in spring and summer, to keep it healthy. Use a general-purpose fertilizer labeled for houseplant use. Follow the directions on the fertilizer packaging.
