Rug & Kilim
Among the most intricate and unique additions to Rug & Kilim’s European-inspired rug collection, is a 7'7" × 10'6" ode to Tudor rug styles. Witnessing a dense floral pattern across the scale, the theme revels in similarly deep shades of green and blue, playing uniquely with reds and beige browns to elegantly reveal a pictorial pattern of regal vision. The medallion in the lower right corner further calls back to the early 20th century Tudor inspiration, albeit from a distinguished approach entirely reimagined in this high-low texture complementing the movement of the all-over pattern. A one-of-a-kind piece, well suited for lavish living rooms and dining rooms.

A Magnificently Oversized Navy Blue Antique Indian Agra Rug, Country of Origin: India, Circa: 1900. This huge antique Indian Agra rug features an allover design that draws inspiration from floral patterns and elements that we normally see in the beautiful and iconic Persian rugs. The floral rug design patterns in the central field are symmetrical, which artfully demonstrates the amount of care that was taken in placing each and every one of the floral designs. The flowers and lines have a very delicate appearance to them, and they stand out against the luxurious rich blue color background because of the way the colors juxtapose against one another. The symmetry of the pattern gives this magnificently luxurious rug an all over design feel which compliments the overall shape of this palatial antique oversized area rug in such a perfect way.
Hand knotted in a quality wool, this addition to the European rug collection by Rug & Kilim draws influence from the 18th Century Tudor rug style, an exemplary piece reimagined in high-and-low pile recapturing a kingly floral pattern in complementary beige, green, and black hues. The play of whimsical blues, pinks, and bright yellow hues in the floral patterns complements the sense of movement in the graceful curvature of the vine patterns, framed elegantly by the converse geometric borders keeping with the skillful, complementary nature of this Tudor rug unique to our honorific process.
