Nalbandian
Kilims and hand-knotted rugs without the pile. Knotted by tightly interweaving the warp and weft strands of the weave to produce a flat surface with no pile. Generally knotted on horizontal looms, this weaving technique produces crisp geometrical designs. Being lighter in weight and softer to the touch than traditional pile carpets, kilims were also used as sofa covers, drapes, pillows, table covers, and wall hangings as tapestries and insulation from the extreme cold.
Solo Rugs
The meticulous art of hand-embroidered textiles from Uzbekistan tribes inspired the Devine collection of rugs. Bold motifs, particularly pomegranates, the sun, and the moon, are frequent elements, their simple yet compelling designs made even more spectacular in wool. Once traditional pieces of a dowry, these rugs will easily become part of families for years to come.
