Asia Minor Carpets
Patchwork overdyed rugs are produced from older Turkish carpets at least 25-50 years of age. These have been cut into smaller pieces and sewn together into new designs and sizes. Once the rug is complete it undergoes a unique process of color neutralization before being over-dyed in an exciting new color. The result is a mix of traditional Turkish carpet designs fused with a contemporary retro style. Colored vintage carpets may lose some of their initial color characteristics and become even more unique in their look over time.

With an unrivaled commitment to quality and sophisticated design, Odegard Carpets has been at the leading edge of modern carpet production for decades. All Odegard Carpets are unique, starting with carefully selected Himalayan wool, which is hand-carded and hand-spun by Tibetan and Nepalese craftspeople, using centuries-old techniques. Odegard Carpets production strictly adheres to the highest standards of eco and social responsibility, raising the standard of living for thousands of artisan weavers in Nepal.

Rug & Kilim
Handmade in wool and originating circa 1920-1930, this 8x11 rug is a rare and exciting new curation in Rug & Kilim’s collection of antique hooked rugs. On the Design: Admirers of the craft will appreciate this piece as one of the most spacious large-size rugs we’ve curated from this style, with an equally gorgeous and unique design for this craft. Rich and vibrant lavender and indigo purple tones underscore the piece’s most prevalent field colors, framed by a black outermost border, gray inner borders, green accents, and beige undertones to the floral patterns in kind. The latter are illustrations of grapevines, seen both in the central field and in spandrels at the corners of the rug. The design is vivid and complex for works of this technique, though still exemplary of hooked rugs in their impressionistic, country-chic beauty—from a tradition among the earliest works of Americana and most treasured American folk art in our collection.Condition: This antique hooked rug further enjoys great condition for its age and origin—a rare and collectible piece of history for both designer and connoisseur alike.
