Nazmiyal Collection
A remarkably captivating and quite beautiful antique Turkish Oushak rug combines traditional arts and crafts design motifs in a way that gives it a distinctively tribal feel. The pattern and design of the magnificent antique Turkish rug makes ample use of the soft background to showcase the large scale more tribal rug design elements. This is in stark contrast to the fine and intricate Persian rugs the use designs that are far more busy and as a result, the individual motifs become lost.
Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, a distressed-style mid-century modern rug from the celebrated artist Zeki Muren with abstract and art deco inspirations is one of his latest pieces to join Rug & Kilim’s mid-century Pasha collection. This 4'7" x 8'8" Turkish drawing of the 1960s boasts rare sensibilities in vivid colors playfully filling the frame with exuberance-a vivid, dimensionally arresting geometric pattern appealing to bold projects among vast possibilities. Carrying mild distress consistent with age and low pile consistent with the technique inherent to this style, a perfect shabby chic choice, especially well suited for entryways and hallways yearning for a vibrant collectible. Playful, artisanal, and warm in its many appeals.
Lavender Oriental Carpets
The luxurious quality of the wool (for which Oushaks have always been famous) contributed to the vibrancy of the colors. Unlike most Turkish rugs, Oushak rugs were heavily influenced by oriental design. Many depictions of ancient oriental carpets in old western paintings appear to be styles designed and woven in Oushak. Many people look at Oushak rugs for their history and ancient value, but even in today's world of carpet weaving, there are countless Oushak rugs that truly convey the original aesthetic and sense of timeless ancient design. You will fall in love with our Oushak rugs, featuring bold floral designs and many other antique details. Colors: light brick/taupe/seafoam blue.
Hand-knotted in wool originating from Turkey circa 1960-1970, this vintage mid-century 5×9 deco rug belongs to the expansive mid-century Pasha collection that celebrates the Turkish icon and multidisciplinary designer Zeki Muren’s works from this period. Carrying a distressed, low-sheared pile in a distinguished mid-century modern vibe, this piece blends art deco sensibilities with a symmetric geometric lattice pattern in a distinctive colorway of warm beige-brown—the muted changes of which lend a delicious, smart sense of movement. One of our principal Josh’s favorites in color and pattern, a befitting choice for neutral themes and minimalistic projects not to mention country homes, farmhouses, ski lodges, cabins, and other projects welcoming soft colors sitting beautifully in this size. A suitable, elegant shabby chic rug selection. Further enjoying good condition for its shabby-chic lineage and distressed, low-sheared pile.
Hand-knotted in Turkey originating between 1950-1960. This vintage mid-century runner is the latest to join the mid-century Pasha collection, celebrating Turkish icon and multidisciplinary designer Zeki Muren with josh's hand-picked favorites from this period. The very mild, natural wear (consistent with the age of this piece) mostly in the fringes of this piece complements the distribution of the rustic purple hue as it accents the brighter, more modern red, green, blue, gold, pink and white geometrics dancing the length of this very whimsical, distinct piece.

Landry & Arcari Rugs and Carpeting
This vintage rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Pasha collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. Further on the design: This distressed piece enjoys a European Art Nouveau style pattern in taupe with forest green floral patterns and rich brick red accents. Keen eyes will admire Müren’s unique take on the style and the subtle but meticulous detail that achieves this look. An exemplar of this artist’s whimsical style, and a collectible large-size rug of the rare few he made. Further on the condition: This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic lineage. Ready for the floor and especially worthy of sophisticated projects yearning for country aesthetics. Circa 1960-1970.
