A Rare and Impressive Signed and Dated Vintage Geometric Swedish Scandinavian Flat Woven Kilim Rug, Country of Origin / Rugs Type: Vintage Scandinavian Rugs, Circa Date: 1946. This rare piece of mid-20th century modern vintage Scandinavian rug design is impressive not only because it combines beautifully textured fiery colors, it is also an excellent example of mid century artwork. This magnificent flat woven rug is signed and dated by the artist and was produced in 1946.
Scandinavians have a legendary reputation for their cutting-edge mid-century designs, and this vintage rug lives up to them all. Most of all, Scandinavian designers have the uncanny ability capture the classic elements that make their creations so enduring and timeless.

This gorgeous vintage flat weave kilim area rug is one of her earth-inspired designs that will add a serene feel to any space. This rug was created between 1960-1969 and is titled "Blomsterkrans.".

For most of her life, Hellman-Knafve lived in a rural part of Sweden, and her carpets reflect the beauty of the changing seasons throughout the coastal and forest landscapes that surrounded her.
