This vintage 4x9 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. Further on the Design:This particular rug enjoys polychromatic geometric patterns with the most interesting choice of tones and sense of depth. Keen eyes and connoisseurs may note a subtle inspiration from cubist concepts, and admire this artist’s creative interpretation therein. That marriage of a sense of whimsy and a smart approach to classic design principles is one of the celebrated calling cards in Müren’s rare works. Few in his era, if any, had such a deviation to color variation like that in this Boho-Chic rug and its brilliant sense of movement. Condition: This mid-century Zeki Müren rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Its hand-knotted wool pile has been lowered, which lends it the look of distress in the texture.

Seven rows of three circles each sit atop a background of warm beige in this textile designed by the revered Dutch designer Verner Panton. As though cast in bright light, each circle contrasts against the backdrop in shades of beige, some almost white and some a rich chestnut brown. Panton was known for designing not just individual textiles or furniture but entire living spaces meant to seamlessly fuse function with aesthetics.

Such an orderly, elegant and charming geometric runner rug does not appear often. The subtle color of powder with the infusion of salmon rose is organized in a tattersall pattern. Pencil stripes of darker shade establish rectangles in interlocking rows. They are linked to each other by intersected lines in the same color. Noteworthy is the technique of weaving this very item called hand-tufting. The process comprises of a tufter injecting the pile through a backing cloth from behind. Each pile is individually injected, the closer the tufts, the higher the density. This is only one reason why this woolen modern carpet tile is such a unique piece. Glamorous. Mesmerizing. Timeless. Such indeed are geometric rugs. Nothing adds a greater finishing touch to an interior than a perfectly matched carpet.
