Doris Leslie Blau
Unique designs combined with high-quality antique Chinese rugs draw attention in every setting, from classic to modern. No wonder they are so popular with both collectors and everyday antique carpet aficionados! This particular piece was woven by a skilled artisan circa the 1850s and shows a lot of elements characteristic of that era in both designs and the choice of colors. When it comes to the color palette, we are given a delightful combination of silver and beige with elements of tasteful blue to bring out the pattern’s charm. Its very strong form of the pattern was achieved thanks to the difference in the pile’s height. It features a very popular floral motif that is composed mostly of vines climbing up with delicate flowers crowning them like precious gems. Doris Leslie Blau has always tried to bring the charm enclosed in antique, Persian rugs runner closer to people, closer to you. We opened our galleries in multiple locations in order to let you experience the sheer beauty of antique, vintage Persian, vintage runner rugs and carpets with your own eyes and hands.
