Hand knotted in wool, this 2xx8 vintage Oushak runner rug features intricate geometric patterns in especially rare colors considering its mid-century provenance. On the Design: Connoisseurs will admire this vintage piece that seems to be from a rare series of runners that don’t quite fit one style, but draw loosely on the Oushak principles of design among other tribal influences. The design features a rich colorway of pink-red field underscores geometric patterns and florals alike, including motifs and medallions in gentle pink and light blue hues. With a runner size, it is a highly collectible piece and an exciting, whimsical one alike. From a coveted Turkish designer, a 2x5 vintage rug of the 1960snow joining our Mid-Century Pasha collection. The shabby elegance design enjoys a geometric pattern in velvet red and beige-brown with a subtle hint of pasta green. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, we believe these rare curations to hail from acclaimed multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. Further on the Design: This runner is one of the artist’s distinct signatures enjoying polychromatic stripes in the most unusual, playful colors.
