Flowering Dogwood is one of the most beautiful eastern North American trees with showy early spring flowers, red fruit, and scarlet autumn foliage. The four-dimensional flowers have been sculpted and cast then arranged on the wood backing and framed. The original prototypes, hand sculpting, molding, and casting were created in RAD's Michigan fabrication studio.

A flamingo spreads graceful wings above a quiet face in a gesture of protection. Serenely lovely, symmetrical features convey a sensation of peace and well being. This artisan carves the piece from African sese wood, a superlative example of Guro art. Among the Guro people of Cote d'Ivoire, such masks represent the spirits of the underworld.
Bright colors bring a modern look to a traditional African mask. Carved by hand of seasoned sese wood, it depicts a personage with wide, watchful eyes and a small mouth. A curving breastplate repeats the form of the headdress and both are incised with parallel lines that form a diamond pattern. Ali Mohammed names his original design Susu Ka, which means 'limit the way you talk' or 'talk less' in the Akan language.
Boasting a tall topknot, this African mask is long and narrow. The stern visage reveals elegant symmetry in its form and patterns. Demonstrating his imagination and expertise, Ali Ibrahim adds richly textured applications of aluminum and brass to his original design. He names it Ozioma, an Igbo word meaning "good news."
