I bought this for the aesthetics, and I got what I was looking for - it's a beautiful & elegant coat hanger, looks great! If you're considering this coat rack you should also be aware that the good looks come with a small cost to function. The coat pegs themselves are a little stubbier than I'd like. But mainly, the fact that the front of the rack is covered means that you have to hang your coats by lifting them up INTO the rack from the bottom. This can mean that you sometimes end up pushing the entire coat rack up from its attachment to the wall if you're clumsy, which can feel the opposite of elegant and refined.
