Oluce
Designed in 1977 by Vico Magistretti, over the years, Atollo has become the archetype of the table lamp, winning the Compasso d’Oro in 1979 and completely revolutionizing the way we imagine the classic bedside lamp. The geometric shapes that compose it – cylinder, cone, and hemisphere – have resulted in a product that is decorative and essential at the same time, disconnected from the historical period and the fashions of the moment, and one that has now fully become one of the icons of Italian design.

Extreme minimalism and freedom of movement. Calamaio is a desk lamp that brings light where it is needed thanks to the rotation of the head mounted on a structure that is also mobile. The LED light source is positioned at the end of the lamp, creating a pinpoint light beam. Its character is manifested in the bold colors.
Oluce is expanding the family with the introduction of Mini Coupe, a smaller-scale version of the table lamp. Coupe originated in 1967 from the creative intuition of Joe Colombo, who initially designed it as a variation on a lamp already in the company’s collection. At 13.4" in height, the Mini Coupe wittily maintains all the vigor common to Joe Colombo’s designs of the 60s. The Mini Coupe, with its chrome stem and semi-cylindrical shade, retains the distinctive profile and bold character which define the Coupe collection and which have always made it an exceptionally modern lighting range, now even more complete.

AlaModerna
In 1933, when Frank Lloyd Wright converted the original gymnasium of his Hillside Home School, located in Spring Green, Wisconsin, into a theater, he designed lighting pendants composed of rectangular light boxes and plywood shields to be suspended from the tall ceiling. These fixtures proved to be a lighting innovation, providing comfortable indirect light without the use of glass or shades. In 1952, when the theater was rebuilt following a fire, Wright modified the design of the original fixtures for use in the dining room, attaching them to the oak beam overhead. He found their soft indirect light so pleasing that he had a standing floor lamp of the same design fabricated for use in his own home, Taliesin.
1953 is a table lamp in metal giving direct light. The reflector, base, and handle are painted matt black and the closing disk is in satin gold. Decorative but with a clean, linear design, 1953 is striking in its modernity, attesting to Oluce’s instinct to create objects capable of transcending fashions and eras. This lamp is dimmable.
Cylinda is a table lamp formed from two cylinders of different dimensions and thicknesses. The first, which is slimmer and taller, becomes the base supporting the second unit, a large, slender disc that forms the light-shade, with an LED light source shining beneath it.
Table or floor lamp with stove-enameled sheet metal reflector purposely designed to take a special horizontal spotlight bulb. A plastic joint allows the reflector to tilt. In 1967 Spider won the Compasso d’Oro award. It is part of the permanent collections of the Milan Triennale, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Kunstmuseum of Düsseldorf, and the “Neue Sammlung Museum” in Munich. In 1972 it went on show at the “Italy: The New Domestic Landscape” exhibition in New York.
