Juliska

Blomus
Taking inspiration from the natural materials of sand, clay, and water. The shapes are soft and inviting with pleasantly rounded edges and a slightly rough surface in some areas and glazed in others. Made from colored clay and a unique mix of quartz, minerals, and oxide. Stoneware is defined as a group of ceramic products and is used to produce plates, dishes, cachepots, and bowls, molded at very high temperatures using special casting techniques. The high temperature during the firing process ensures stoneware is more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain. The colors, shapes, and appearance of the glaze as well as the overall look depend on the firing temperature and time and may vary slightly from piece to piece - each piece is unique and may show individual structures and shades.
Costa Nova
The love of life, family, friends, and good food has inspired Costa Nova to create fine stoneware collections that combine quality and design with the best in ceramic craftsmanship. The brand produces innovative and sustainable stoneware, made from the best natural resources in Portugal. We embrace "handmade" and preserve our European heritage in the manufacture of our stoneware collections, bringing to the table and to the home unique and elegant pieces that suit today’s way of living and are able to last for generations. Costa Nova was born in a small Portuguese fishing village, near the Atlantic Ocean. Nowadays, carrying Portugal's name and heritage all over the world, Costa Nova is present across five continents, in prestigious department stores, boutiques, hotels, and renowned restaurants. Using the best natural resources in Portugal, Costa Nova products are made in a single firing system heated up to 1180 degrees C (2160 degrees F), which creates a unique ceramic body with a special bonding between the clay and the glazed surface. This original formula explains why our stoneware is so durable and resistant to both thermal and mechanical shocks. In addition, our team of designers, technicians, modelers, and craftsmen are constantly developing original shapes and colors, all the way to truly unique designed and handcrafted pieces. Costa Nova sees its products and operations as part of a long-life cycle and is committed to taking better care of the community and of the world. The effort to go green and to minimize our impact on the environment is always a work in progress. As producers, we commit ourselves daily to protect the environment, avoiding unnecessary harm through the resources we use and the products we manufacture.
