Rosenthal
The TAC collection, an icon of Bauhaus design and developed by Walter Gropius, TAC skin gold is a graphic design in elegant gold. Sophisticated multiple finishing techniques give the flat pieces a fine relief structure, while top-quality screen-printed decoration gives hollow pieces such as the teapot a smooth, matte surface. Small overlapping leaves form a golden mosaic that sometimes extends across the entire surface of the plate and other times appears only as a contour adorning the edges. The new design therefore picks up on the theme of structure and contrast already visible in Gropius’ original design and enhances the distinctive styling of the timeless classic that is among Rosenthal’s best-selling tableware series.
Royal Copenhagen
A delicate, blue lace border highlights the classic shapes of a Princess. Originally designed as a tea set, it quickly became clear that Princess could frame more than teatime, and the feminine collection grew into a full dinner service. Created in 1978.
Michael Aram
The Michael Aram Botanical Leaf Collection takes its inspiration from the intricacies of form and texture found in particular types of foliage. Reminiscent of eucalyptus and seagrape, the structure celebrates the twisting branches as much as it does the leaves ourselves.
This is a teacup saucer not an appetizer plate. I would have been spared an inquiry if it was identified correctly online. Having said that, it's lovely. The gray glaze has a texture that contributes to keeping the cup in the center. The pattern around the edge might bother some; it seems to go blurry. To me, it looks like a border.. Lady Whistledown. The asymmetry of this contemporary dinnerware collection brings an organic, handmade energy to any table.
The Palace collection explores, through Michael's eyes, the richness of detail and ornament in palaces throughout the world. As a part-time resident of India since 1989, palace architecture has been a steady source of inspiration and this collection pays tribute to the geometry and complexity of Moghul's design. The classically elegant shapes and materials in this collection reflect the arches, finials, carved panels, and ornamentation prevalent in palaces throughout the East. "I wanted to capture the balance between palace and country life in this collection. The delicate, winding cast ivy wraps around faux-bois etched metal elements, offering a romanticized interpretation of a simple life on the farm."

"I like the old saying that every man's home is his palace. This is a collection that brings the grandness and intricacy of palace architecture into your home, in an elegant yet everyday way. The collection is a journey of sorts into the sophisticated world of regal architecture, yet what I love about it is that there is a surprising simplicity to the geometric forms as well as restraint in the tone-on-tone interplay with light and shadow of the surfaces."
