Michael Aram
The Olive Branch collection is one of the best-known and most loved of Michael's motifs. The simple forms create objects that serve wonderfully as stunning individual gifts or an exuberant table setting that decorates an entire moment of your life. The theme itself captures all the most distinctive aspects of Michael's work - narrative strength, deep symbolism, and extraordinary sculptural expression. The olive branch has always held a powerful meaning for me representing both peace and victory. In designing functional objects with natural forms, there is a mingled sense of fragility and intensity. For me, it is like nature spreading through my interior spaces - like a magical olive grove sweetly willing its way into my home.
I love this little bowl. It adds a touch of class and elegance to wherever you put it and whatever you put in it. Mixed metal colors look great together!. Martha. Cocoa Beach, FL. 2024-12-13 18:13:23
The Michael Aram Pomegranate collection takes its inspiration from one of the most universal and ancient symbols in the world. The fruit has been prized across the globe, across cultures, and across time as a representation of life, rebirth, and renewal as well as fertility and union.
The Palace collection explores, through Michael's eyes, the richness of detail and ornament in palaces throughout the world. As a part-time resident of India since 1989, palace architecture has been a steady source of inspiration and this collection pays tribute to the geometry and complexity of Moghul's design. The classically elegant shapes and materials in this collection reflect the arches, finials, carved panels, and ornamentation prevalent in palaces throughout the East. "I wanted to capture the balance between palace and country life in this collection. The delicate, winding cast ivy wraps around faux-bois etched metal elements, offering a romanticized interpretation of a simple life on the farm."
Hawkins New York
Set of 4. Part of our Essential Collection. Pragmatic and elegant; that HNY sweet spot. Wide and roomy for the best cereal-and-milk of your life. Soft rippling throughout and a slight foot for a hand thrown feeling (without the hand thrown price tag).
Wedgwood
With an oriental feel, this original design by Kit Kemp is based upon a collection of embroidered fabrics produced by Chelsea Textiles. Kit Kemp is best known as the co-owner and design director for Firmdale Hotels, famous for her eclectic and colorful designs. Kit is often influenced by a sense of the whimsical and the lyrical as well as her love of animals. This collection features creatures great and small, borne solely from her imagination. The illustrative style of the range is applied to the silky white fine bone china and decorated with intricate gold decorations around the rim of each durable piece.

The Michael Aram Pomegranate collection takes its inspiration from one of the most universal and ancient symbols in the world. The fruit has been prized across the globe, across cultures, and across time as a representation of life, rebirth, and renewal as well as fertility and union. I grew up around pomegranates - from their use as natural dyes on the antique rugs I used to crawl on as a baby to an integral ingredient in the food that I love. When I'm at my home in New Delhi, I wake each morning to the taste of fresh-squeezed pomegranate juice. The color, the smell, and the delicate flavor all make it feel like a magical elixir to me.
The collection was inspired by the powerful sensuality of orchids and the rich ambiance of haute couture strikingly simple yet full of the most extreme detail. The collection has an almost gothic feeling opiated, lush, and smoldering like the dark, velvety atmosphere of a luxurious evening. “There is something so seductive about orchids. In blackened nickel, they are even more sublime, like a woman wearing a black velvet gown floating through a great estate or a glassy urban high-rise. The dark atmosphere of the orchids against the hammered metal is like the afterglow of a beautiful evening.”
The Butterfly Ginkgo collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo", which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant. Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of Indian craft and capture the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work. "The first time I saw this tree, it looked like it had been completely overtaken by butterflies as if they would all take flight the moment I walked too close or made a noise. The idea that the leaves could evoke the beauty of butterflies was magical to me, like trees that can metamorphose from flora to fauna in the blink of an eye."

The Palm collection is inspired by the beauty of a windswept palm tree and the perfectly imperfect shapes of woven palm leaves and fallen fronds. The warm antique gold finish and the intricate sculpted textures exude comfortable luxury and graciousness. I was having lunch with friends on a veranda overlooking the sea when I looked down at the lawn and saw a fallen palm frond. The leaves were all twisted and curled, yet they stood out magnificently against the otherwise perfect landscape. It made me think of the passage of time, and the bountiful gifts of the Palm tree, which provides everything from food to shelter.
Vagabond House
Inspired by unique metal sauce bowls used on formal tables during the colonial era, these covered sauce bowls are elegant in both function and form. The round bowl is cast and hand-finished with a polished sheen. A final of an exquisitely detailed female pheasant stands atop her nest on the lid adding a unique Vagabond House style as a figural handle. The bowl is sparely tooled in a classic style cast with a slight indent curve near the top and around the stacked ring base. The cover ensures that your sauce will stay fresh and the conductive properties of pewter ensure that a cool sauce will be cool and a warm one will stay warm for your entire meal.
