Blending Kit Kemp's love of craft and simple folk art in a fun and lyrical way, Sailors Farewell tells the story of a sailor's loved-one waving goodbye on a rock with her scarf flying in the wind. As she waves goodbye, the motifs around china show the sailor's adventures on the high seas both above and below the waterline. The delicate pale blue linen finish of the original fabric inspiration is discernible on the tableware and finished with a stronger blue and gold line around the rim. The Kit Kemp Sailors Farewell Mug pictures the sailor's loved one gazing across the ocean and an enticing sight of a house on a faraway desert island. Beautifully presented in Wedgwood's signature blue gift box, crafted in fine bone china and finished with 22-karat gold.

Kit Kemp has worked alongside iconic British company Wedgwood to create a beautiful collection of specially designed china called Mythical Creatures. Her design was based upon a collection of embroidered fabrics produced for Chelsea Textiles and has been applied to Bone China creating a unique illustrative style. The Kit is often influenced by a sense of the whimsical and the lyrical, as well as a love of animals. Hence the collection features a series of characters and patterns that have a primitive, folkloric feel.

Pristine bone china is the ''canvas'' for an original illustration by designer Chuck Fischer. Here, a single sailboat sets sail on smoky blue seas. Below the mug's gold rim is a bamboo-inspired design, inset with blue accents that evoke the beauty of a tropical sky and complement the sea's rich hues.
