The clean and simple lines of Lastra were inspired by the circular wooden slab used for centuries to create the outer mold in cheesemaking throughout Italy. When fashioned together with twine, the hoop was left with a slight overlap to help maintain the shape of the cheese mold. Maestro molder Stefano Roselli incorporates the overlapping detail into the entire design, from its foot to its rim. A dark dusting on the edges of each piece suggests the ash that was used to preserve these cheeses and highlights each unique silhouette.
Dappled is like sitting under a shady old oak tree on a hot summer's day or maybe a leisurely stroll along a tree-lined path on a sunny afternoon. Carmel Ceramica multi-glaze process achieves this beautiful effect. You'll want to use this big serving bowl all over the house and one-day holding fruit on the dining room table then holding the main course the next.
Georg Jensen
Elevate your entertaining! Make sure all the little details are perfect and serve your snacks in this beautiful set of three stainless steel bowls presented on a custom-made smoked oak tray. Just the right size to hold candies, nuts, or berries, the bowls feature the distinctive Art Deco-inspired grooves that appear in many of legendary designer Sigvard Bernadotte’s iconic pieces. The versatile nature of the set means that both tray and bowls can also be used individually. Sigvard Bernadotte was the son of the Swedish king but carved out a notable career as one of Georg Jensen’s earliest designers. Greatly influenced by the functionalist movement prevalent at the time, his work is characterized by sophistication and elegance but never at the expense of practicality. The three bowls are crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel. The smoked oak tray has a lacquered finish to reduce staining and abrasion.
