Inspired by his years of living in Florida in proximity to the Everglades, Ian Thornton designed the Neilos floor lamp from metal in a mix of antique brass and oil-rubbed bronze finishes. Starfall is a classically proportioned five-pointed double star. Gathered at a high waist of the lamp, five slender, tapered arms extend up as if reaching for the sky while five tapered legs splay downward, appearing to float just above a tabletop or floor. Slight and delicately crafted from metal, this lamp appears weightless and defies its media of steel sheeting. Finally, a gilded iron finish or a bronze finish is applied.
