The Kenyon one light floor lamp in burnished brass by Chapman & Myers was designed to be highly versatile in its application, at home in any interior. They have classic half-round pharmacy shades which are mounted to a cylindrical metal stem with a differentiated stepped detailing. Because doing stuff in the dark can be hard. It's a lamp! No, it won't answer to the adorable pet name you give it or have witty replies to your inane requests (don't worry Alexa, you have job security) but it will fill your room with functional light and deliver it via a thoughtfully proportioned powder-coated steel design. Sure, it might be just a way to cancel out small parcels of darkness, but maybe, just maybe it could be a friend too.
The lamp is great except we ordered a touch lamp and received a floor dimmer lamp. We were told they will call us to confirm what they have available! Instead they send us a dimmer lamp without calling. Since they decided the sale was more important than customer service, i reduced my rating… if they had call as promised it would have been my decision to order the dimmer lamp not their decision.. It doesn’t exactly set straight. And it’s very small-scale, maximum bulb wattage is 40. But it did warm up the dark corner of our eclectic Dining Room. I could see it used as a piano light - off to the side, or maybe as a pair of lamps with a vignette of armchairs and a chess table. It arrived in tip-top shape, packaged well, and easy to set up (no assembly required other than figuring out how to put the lamp shade on. Do handle it delicately.. Tara.
