Part of the popular floor lamp, this floor lamp was created in 1998 by artist Jasper Morrison to invoke the radiant calm of a full moon. This contemporary floor lamp fits naturally into any design aesthetic, emitting a warm, diffused light that is ideal as a subtle up-lighter. It features a hand-blown, etched white opaline glass diffuser that is supported by a matte silver stem and base. Made from high-quality glass and steel, this opal-finish contemporary floor lamp is ideal for a variety of residential or commercial settings. Inspired by the soft and serene glow of a full moon in a clear sky, Jasper Morrison created this floor lamp to illuminate the otherworldly magic of the night.

Stylish. But I would have preferred the globe to be matte and not shiny.. Eva. New York, NY. 2024-08-24 10:23:21

The range of Malamata lights (named to recall the designer's Israeli roots, drawing on the Hebrew meaning of 'up and down') is characterized by the possibility of a variety of diffuser positions. The light can be adjusted thanks to a sphere counterweight. Pushing the button on top of the sphere, a spring is released and the counterweight is free to slide on the steam, allowing to change the diffuser position up and down.
