The House of Scalamandre
Inspired by our hand-block printed fabric, Kelmscott Wallcovering's charming scenic design of English country life is freshly interpreted as a digitally printed grasscloth and rescaled for the story to read vertically for a wall-friendly layout. Its whimsical and scenic all-over pattern makes it a great option for libraries and bedrooms. This early twentieth-century design was discovered in an English archive including the original wood blocks cut in July 1924.
Harlequin
As if cut through the Malachite stone this design reveals a cross-section of the stone's natural formation with pooling layers drifting out from one another. It has been rotary printed for a chalky texture to emphasize its earthy sedimentary connection.
This stunning digitally printed wallpaper panel displays a highly figurative interpretation of original ink and salt-printed silk fabric. Perhaps it could be construed as a mountainous landscape or a glacial terrain depending on the colorways selected. Whatever your interpretation it provides visual delight in any room.

Palampores, or "Tree of Life" patterns, have their origins in India, where the exotic designs were hand painted and mordant dyed, and exported to Europe and England for use as elaborate bed hangings and curtains. Pondicherry, now offered as a wallcovering, the colorways remain true to their 90's origins, highlighting the iconic filigree pattern amidst the exotic tree of life motif. The colorways were developed in 2015, with the filigree omitted from the fabric design. These wallcoverings and colorways remain true to the fabric's original design. Intricately detailed flowers and lush foliage accompanied by whimsical birds and playful squirrels add to its timeless appeal. The vertically branching print is perfect for a cozy breakfast nook, kitchen, or powder room.
