Seeming to defy gravity, the Mod 265 wall lamp by designer Paolo Rizzatto is in a category all its own. The lamp head—which rotates 360-degrees so that it can be aimed in any direction—provides a clean, direct light. The body is painted steel, with an adjustable arm and reflector. There is a chrome-plated brass reflector support. The counterweight is tapered cast iron. There is an on/off switch on the socket holder and a plug-in power cord measuring 80-inches. The inspiration behind the design: Inspired by a minimalist design, Paolo Rizzatto created this timeless piece in 1973.
Resembling a shirt cuff, the contemporary Foglio wall lamp from design master Tobia Scarpa is a mixture of timeless and contemporary design. The lamp’s body is formed by power-painted pressed steel. The two lamp supports are injection-molded white nylon. The Foglio emits indirect light. It is HPF electronic ballast standard.

Flauta wall lamps, inspired by organ pipes and fluted architectural details, are a study in texture and simplicity. The units are characterized by the surface etching in two refined variations which are Flauta Riga with vertical lines, and Flute Spiga, characterized by an elegant and sophisticated angular pattern. Rounding out the device is a deflector accessory painted to match the finish of the lamp body. It can be installed as desired on the upper or lower head to create a decorative effect with reflected light. In Flauta Riga, a series of skillfully calibrated etchings on the surface trace a sign characterized by pure rigor and classical references. Flauta Spiga is characterized by a herringbone pattern, a synonym of elegance and sophisticated detail like a jewel with ancient taste and a refined contemporary design. The deflector accessory, painted to match the lamp body, can be installed on either the upper or lower head. Held in place by magnets and safety screws, it creates a decorative effect with reflected light.
Utility light fixture. Injection-molded tapered opaline polypropylene diffuser. The hook/handle, also acting as a cord winder, is made of 10% talc-filled injection-molded polypropylene. Push-button switch on the handle.
Inspired by the shapes of organs and flutes, Flauta's dual spotlights stand out thanks to a small circular reflector that captures and reverberates the light emitted.
A radiant light, delicate balance: Like the other pieces in his IC light series, the IC C/W lamp showcases designer Michael Anastassiades’ love of industrial simplicity as well as his profound technical skill. The sleek, modern ceiling/wall lamp has a blown glass opal glass design that provides diffused lighting as well as a sense of serene calm to any hallway, living room, or bedroom. The inspiration behind the design: Poise is powerful: That’s the message Michael Anastassiades offers with his IC light series. From the skillful balance of the sphere and baton that invokes thoughts of a dexterous juggler’s act to the lamp’s name IC, a reference to the identity code used to evaluate immigrants entering the UK the designer makes a commanding statement.
