The pleated lampshade is still at the very heart of the 75-year-old design company. To this day the craftsmanship of the cross-pleated lampshade is unique and is a handicraft that is only mastered at Le Klint’s original pleating studio in Odense, Denmark. To become a skilled pleating technician at Le Klint takes approximately three years and most of the employees in the pleating studio have been with the company for more than 25 years. Due to the vast experience within this group, they are often consulted when new ideas are brought to the table. All parts are made from the best materials and are often produced by local companies situated close to Le Klint. The parts are put together at the facility in Odense.

Each glass sphere of PaoPao pendant PL5 is mouth-blown and vacuum plated to create a unique layered effect. The glass sphere visually changes as the light transitions between on and off mode. When the light is off, one can appreciate the simplistic beauty of the glass surface and its reflective nature. When the fixture is on, each pendant glows alluringly, allowing the light to reflect within the glass sphere. The PaoPao pendant PL5 utilizes high quality integrated LED design, that offers color rendering of CRI 95, as well as a dimmable function.

The three sinuous shapes of Riflesso, which are reminiscent of soap bubbles and make lightness and transparency their hallmark, now feature a dual light source. The LED is positioned at the top, where the gold or satin-finished copper structure joins the glass, and at the bottom, at the end of the second structure. Whatever the colour (crystal, pink, amber or smoked), the glass is almost invisible and becomes a simple tool for propagating light. This result is possible thanks to the experience of Vistosi’s master glassmakers who, with skill and craftsmanship, make this precious raw material visible only through the reflection of light, enhancing the concept of simplicity and lightness from which the collection’s concept originates. In Riflesso, therefore, glass becomes light, functionality merges with design, and the ultimate purpose of a lamp is never lost sight of: to illuminate, but at the same time to furnish the environment harmoniously.
