Imagine a stunning display blooming above you: created by marcel wanders, the sky garden light family is just that. With the sky garden recessed, the artist offers a hemispherical, cast plaster diffuser, painted white inside and featuring a frieze in photo-etched and mechanically drawn 304 steel. The plaster diffuser support is a die-cast aluminum alloy. The diffuser is flashed and blown opal glass. For non-ic installations only. The inspiration behind the design: a house marcel wanders once lived in, which featured an old and ornate plaster ceiling that he dubbed his “sky garden", inspired this artistic piece. Wishing that he could take this “garden on the ceiling” with him when he moved, wanders created the sky garden family so that he could do just that—and then share it with the world.
