Inspired by Scalamandre's iconic pattern "Chinoise Exotique", our narrow jar depicts the stylized tableau of blossoms, vines, figures, and animals. Accented with a square bamboo brass finial. Tall at 20" in height, and a depth of 6"--it is perfect as a pair of the mantle or on-shelf brackets. Holds water for fresh flowers. Coordinates with the "Chinoise Exotique" lamp with either a square tapered shade or hardback round lizard skin shade options.
Very pretty! Love this scalamandre jar! So beautiful!. Angie. Sugarland, TX. 2024-02-26 22:29:17
The Balinese peacock is a nineteenth-century archival French roller print. Decidedly a South Seas look, the Scalamandre pattern is rendered in exotic motifs of fruit, foliage, and peacocks with delicate batik-like details. Part of the Scalamandre' Maison by PORT 68 collection, the jars are made of porcelain with solid brass metal lift-off lids. Available in hues of pink, green, and turquoise/blueprints on cream white crackled porcelain.
A whimsical dash pattern from the Grey Watkins archive with Scalamandre is celebrated with this round cylinder vase. Multicolored painterly brushstrokes of the vase translate into positive energy with the vertical dashes of pastel colors. The vase holds water. We love to use the vases on our wall shelves, or the sideboard in pairs. Add grand branches or florals for a dramatic effect.
"Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. Dogs, Asian pagodas, Ginko trees, and a boat ride down the river all join together in a whimsical pattern painted by John Loecke of Madcap Cottage. We offer two versions of the light-colored pattern in porcelain, and on our Delfern Bench in coral and celadon fabrics. Canton is a narrow rectangle porcelain jar with a lift-off lid. The jar holds water. Perfect in pairs on the mantle or featured in a bookcase. Accented with a solid brass ring finial.
Client has a large collection of blue chinoiserie jars in another room. This was a great way to address that collection while trying to pull greens into an adjacent space. Piece is heavy and well finished.. Thom. Double Oak, TX. 2025-01-25 16:46:46

The Japonesque table vase is poetry in motion, and not just because its asymmetrical form creates a sense of movement but because the swirling brushstrokes along its porcelain surface do as well. The black vessel is created by a studio artist and, because it is handmade, each one will vary slightly to make each piece unique some will be darker and, because the brush patterns are hand-painted, they will be random from piece to piece.
