Nature is recreated in this extraordinary tree texture collection. The eyes of this tree are from the poppy/poplar tree. They are caused by the scars of pruning wounds and fallen branches. Curiously, they all have exactly the shape of eyes. Truly taken directly from tree bark, molds are cast to then reinterpreted into vessels and decorative accessories. This vase is glazed with companion pieces available. Each is sold separately.
With the subtle application of paints and gilded accents, artisan Sarwaedi gives this curvaceous wood vase an antique appearance. The decorative vase is hand-carved from mahogany, and richly embellished with gorgeous Balinese flora.

Our vase is carved to represent the Varuna mudra (the gesture of water). Carved wood supports the artistically designed glass vase, carefully hand blown and molded onto its foundation. 'Mudra', a Sanskrit word, meaning a symbolic hand gesture that has the power to produce joy and happiness. As the molten glass cools around the wood, it forms a custom fit between these two unique pieces.
