"Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. Dogs, Asian pagodas, Ginko trees, and a boat ride down the river all join together in a whimsical pattern painted by John Loecke of Madcap Cottage. We offer two versions of the light-colored pattern in porcelain, and on our Delfern Bench in coral and celadon fabrics. Canton is a narrow rectangle porcelain jar with a lift-off lid. The jar holds water. Perfect in pairs on the mantle or featured in a bookcase. Accented with a solid brass ring finial.
Client has a large collection of blue chinoiserie jars in another room. This was a great way to address that collection while trying to pull greens into an adjacent space. Piece is heavy and well finished.. Thom. Double Oak, TX. 2025-01-25 16:46:46

Chinese plums and delicate Flowers cover a pale green celadon vase. Handcrafted by Duangkamol, the voluptuous design features Thai celadon's trademark crackled glaze.
Celadon Tile is our modern square-shaped tea caddy celebrating a mix of celadon and emerald green colors all inspired by the cut velvet fabric from Old World Weavers which is part of the Scalamandre family. The lift-off top lid makes this jar into a statement vase when married with branches or botanicals. The faux velvet texture in the tile pattern is embraced as part of the design.
I was extremely satisfied with the cost and how quickly the product was delivered after l ordered it. My husband saw it in a local furniture store and it was about $60.00 more money than l paid through Perigold.. Deborah. berkeley Heights, NJ. 2023-07-20 23:17:50
Legend of Asia
Crackle Celadon Globular Vase.
DYAG East
This gorgeous celadon vase was handcrafted and embellished with Hongmei flowers. Hongmei flowers, a symbol of beauty and strength, have been a long favorite of many Chinese painters over thousands of years. Different from colorful Jun porcelain, Ge celadon has a grayish-blue glaze and jade-like perfection. Carving is employed to adorn ware. Celadon production had a long history at Longquan, a city in Southern China and related sites, but the era of greatest ceramic production was not until the Southern Song (1127-1279), Yuan (1271-1368) and Ming (1368-1644) periods. Only one left.

The hand-thrown porcelain body of the Maiping Ginger Jar covered with a celadon crackle glaze has been baked and given a light thermic shock to create the crackled lines in the texture. Some lines on the pale green jar are darkened with real tea leaves while others are covered with black calligraphy ink to create depth in the porcelain. We have several designs in this family of accessories.
