Century
When possible, I always like to have a big, bold, chunky coffee table as the heart of a room, for both casual and more refined spaces. The idea of this silhouette was to create a substantial but low-slung profile with large square block feet, that would have a classic Indo-Chinese and island sensibility. Every surface is covered in bamboo, while the top is framed in a softly elegant profile and beautifully surfaced in pressed bamboo. A large-scale framed mirror uses the same profiles and mixes with paneled bamboo. I envisioned this group in our Khaviar finish for the city, quite dark and luxurious.

The Bridge Collection represents a beautiful balance between clean bold lines and a mix of materials; showcasing a rich palette of Oak veneers finished in a deep French Espresso stain, with a frame crafted from stainless steel in a brass finish.
"I often like to transform furniture by combining mixed materials, or changing a finish from what would have been characteristic of its original design period. This piece reimagines a great, chunky, 1970s faceted coffee table that I found in London with a beautiful, formal book and butt-matched mahogany veneer tabletop, set into the bold, clear base. For purists, the table is also available with a glass top to create a floating, transparent effect." - Thomas O'Brien.

A contemporary coffee table, crafted from a sleek, black lacquered fibreglass base and luxe, Burkina marble top.
At over 125 pieces, this collection includes many types of furniture, from upholstery to handcrafted wood and metalwork, for every room of the home, and in time, the garden. In style, it is hopefully just as ambitious and interesting. There are purely handsome French and Scandinavian modern inspirations, but also the world of historical English forms, and the glamour of the American skyscraper age in between. All these influences are refined and recombined through the ways that I think about vintage and modern living. Some of them are dressy. Some are casual. Everything has an essential American elegance that makes the design lasting.
