These planters are as advertised: substantial and attractive. They were ordered to be placed on existing pillars. There is a hole at the bottom for water drainage. They are very heavy (concrete). I view that as a plus but it will take two people to unpack and place. I'd plan to be home for delivery to ensure they're dropped off closest to the outdoor location they will inhabit; otherwise, getting them from the porch to that point will be a lot of extra work..
