Lilac wool blend fabric with large chevron design made of brush fringe
Schumacher
As elegant as it is edgy, this fantastical thistle motif reflects Neisha Crosland’s passion for espaliers, trees trained to grow flat against a wall with the branches outstretched in precise horizontal lines, as well as the brilliantly-colored mosaic tiles in Istanbul’s 15th-century Topkapi Palace. Printed on a handmade silk-linen blend, the untimid pattern gains even more drama from the full-width repeat, which measures 54 inches across. Also a wallcovering.
Designed by Johnson Hartig of Libertine. Proust’s Lilacs is a lovely floral chintz inspired by a vintage fabric. Printed on crisp glazed cotton, this large-scale botanical layers beautifully with other patterns, evoking the sophisticated charm of old-school decorating. It’s natural for furniture, pillows, windows, and wall upholstery. Also available as wallpaper. Sold as a 2-yard minimum.

With impeccable attention to intricate details, Palace Damask is inspired by the handmade Venetian velvets created with hand-applied wooden printing blocks by ancient textile techniques in small workshops made famous by houses like Fortuny and Luigi Bevilacqua. Our inspiration comes from ancient Italian works of art, the rich cultural heritage of Renaissance Venice, the historical Venetian velvet arts, sumptuous patterned velvets, brocades. Damasks adorn the walls of the city's grandest palaces and richest churches, covered tables, and upholstered furniture. Palace Damask starts with true historical reference, pays homage and tribute to its origins, and to collectors who know the original work and then embarks on an artistic license, contemporary interpretation, and re-Imagineering. Palace Damask is bold, edgy, sumptuous, and both modern and timeless.

The House of Scalamandre
Reproduced from a nineteenth-century French roller-printed textile, this table print has a decidedly South Seas look. The design’s exotic motifs of fruit, foliage, and peacocks are rendered with delicate batik-like details that are printed in a full range of hues, from soft lavender and vibrant mandarin orange to rich espresso.
Delicate lines are traced over a strié background for a pure design. The color range is perfect for both classic and contemporary upholstery while the inherent flexibility and good Martindale quality make this fabric truly multipurpose.
A faithful reproduction of an 18th-century document, with painstaking illustrations of pomegranates and branches, this lilting print has a surprisingly modern sensibility and incredible dimension.
