Inspired by the fronds of a palm tree that grows in the mountains of northern Colombia, the Tayrona palm mosaic is based on original artwork created in fashion designer Johanna Ortiz’s studio and rotary-printed on tightly woven 100% linen. This scrolling leafy pattern is composed of delicate irregular dots, an ancient drawing technique that gives this elegant, versatile fabric a wonderful earthy aesthetic. Also available as wallpaper.
Morris & Co.
Seasons by May is our interpretation of a c.1895 embroidery called 'Spring and Summer' designed and most likely stitched by May Morris. Produced on a textured cloth our version features a mirrored trellis of parakeets stylized roses tulips leaves and turning stems accented with intricate detail across the feathers and petals.
The House of Scalamandre
Guermantes was named for a bucolic town in the Île-de-France region located in north-central France. Carnations, irises, tulips, daffodils, and tossed bell-like petals are printed on a ground of cotton. Designed by Paule Marrot.
Chinoiserie, the western decorative interpretation of Chinese life, is a Scalamandré signature, from classic toilet prints to scenic wallpapers. The classic chinoiserie design gets a thoroughly modern update in this dramatic new scenic print. The hand of the artist is evident here in the graphic, sketch-like drawings of fanciful figures, pagodas, and palm trees. The grand, full-width repeat of Summer Palace gives it the look of a modern mural, in contemporary shades of indigo, charcoal, and soft sky blue. A coordinating 54” wallpaper of the same scale complements each fabric.

Sanderson
Sorilla is an existing design that was first produced in the 1950s. This vintage floral originated from France and was re-designed in the Sanderson studio under the leadership of Mr. Truman who was one of the foremost designers of his day. The design has been re-established for the twenty-first century on contemporary tumbled linen in fresh natural hues and vintage tones.

Fashion designer Johanna Ortiz was inspired by Indian block prints and her Colombian heritage when she imagined Amazonas Mystique, a chic tropical fabric with fabulous flair. A decorative half-drop grid beautifully frames stylized palms, parakeets, and floral paisleys. This vibrant medium-scale pattern is printed on tightly woven 100% linen and works beautifully for any application.
