Crafted from select birch wood with a durable solid wood multi-layer desktop, this desk is built to last. Boasting intricate hand-carved details and six stages of careful polishing, it's a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Slight variations in size due to the natural grinding process are normal. Shipped fully assembled, it's ready to use upon arrival.
Inspired by the tropical craftsmanship of the West Indies and classic British and Dutch colonial design periods, the Charleston writing desk has a timeless kidney shape, stretchers, rattan drawer fronts, intricately carved leaf motifs on the legs, and a robust leather writing surface top. Crafted of cherry veneers, rattan, and resin, it is finished in the deep, rich Maraschino cherry. There are five drawers. The left and right top drawers have one removable partition, one writing slide, and a pencil tray for use in either drawer. The center drawer has a drop-front for keyboard use. Antique bronze round knobs and ring-pull hardware add the finishing touch.
