In our Mission Little Treasures collection, you'll find modestly scaled oak pieces crafted with mission techniques and designed for various uses. The copper-top tabouret is inspired by a Stickley Brother design circa 1910. A round top of hammered copper sits on a solid oak frame of three tapered legs and a stretcher shelf attached with through-tenon joinery. Its low height allows the tabouret to serve as a small table, stool, or plant stand.
Pierced details add interest to the base, and stepped woven leather straps with nailhead trim accent the top.

In August 2018 Feé Halsted set off to the Kruger National Park to unwind and recharge her slightly frazzled batteries. Nothing is more salutary and exciting than nestling in the bush to ignite the imagination and restore one's faith in humanity and rekindle the spirit. She "clamped" in rondavel huts in the Lower Sabie, a dense lush region of the park, in which trees, plants, and bushes abound watered by the great Sabie River where its vegetation draws large varieties of birds and game to drink, bathe and fish. The area is a never-ending tapestry of camouflaged beasts where light, sound and movement, and color shift and change. Ardmore Artists have never come into close contact with the fauna and flora they represent and we are charmed by their earnest and naive rendering which is similar to the paintings of French artist Henri Rousseau. It is this earnest depiction of our African fauna and flora that we so valued and enjoyed. Ardmore Design was established as an extension of Ardmore Ceramic Art, producing beautifully designed fabric, soft-furnishings, lifestyle products for the home and accessories. The designs created for these items are inspired by the art elements of the ceramic pieces from Ardmore Ceramics which is known for its ornate ceramic art pieces. Villa & House (originally Bungalow 5)
With hand-tied double-layered caning, intricate hand-carved features, and metal accents reminiscent of French antiques, the Paris bench is ultimately timeless and classic. The Bungalow 5 driftwood finish is created with durable and sustainably-farmed Cape Lilac Mahogany from Indonesia. Its grain—similar to oak—is wire brushed to emphasize the whirls and patterns. Then, the wood is stained with a background color and rubbed with cerusing to contrast each ridge, creating a coastal finish. The bench is available in two different sizes: a smaller version most appropriate for tucking under a bathroom vanity or styling as a pair under an entryway console and a larger version best at the foot of a bed, flanking a dining table, or as a convenient place to sit in a big entryway.

The Scalamandre zebra pattern in the color of green is your fun accent table or garden seat, perfect for the chair as a table or as an extra pull-up stool on the patio. It's for the adventurer in us all. A little background history: Originally designed in the 1940s for the Gino of Capri restaurant, lovingly known as "Ginos" by New Yorkers, Scalamandre restored the Zebras wallcovering in the upper east side institution in the 1970s after it was destroyed in a fire. Flora Scalamandre, wife of Franco, free-handed the signature motif that would come to be known as the iconic Scalamandre zebras. The pattern is celebrated the world over in design and in the movies. It was featured in the "Royal Tenenbaums" and "Mighty Aphrodite". The pattern design has grown in color offerings and mediums.
