This bench is built out of a solid American walnut top and solid oak-painted base with white accents. One of the striking features of this piece is that the bench is made out of one solid slab of wood. We carefully cut the slab out of one tree that follows the pattern of the way the tree grew. For any natural cracks in the slab, we insert white butterfly keys inlay to prevent further movement in the wood. It is a technique often used for that purpose and adds to the piece.
