The fountain itself is very nice - but the delivery was terrible! Arrived way later than the original delivery date, they never called 1/2 hour before delivery as promised, left the fountain directly in front of my garage and I had to tell them to move it. Then they tore up my grass. The fountain had many small damages and issues, and the touch up paint that was sent leaked all inside the bag. The Beauvais fountain is a beautiful piece, exactly as depicted. Perigold was very helpful in coordinating the delivery and what to expect. The assembly instructions from the manufacturer (Campania International), left a lot to be desired… but I was able to email them for clarification on what the completed assembly of the copper tubing In the upper urn should look like after following the vague instructions. Also, they left out a needed stopper in the shipment. Without this piece, the fountain would not hold water. There was no mention of this extra stopper in the assembly instruction's, but I was able to call Perigold and Campania international to report the issue, and they sent the stopper. Actually, this stopper allows draining, cleaning, and refilling the fountain an easy task… but again no mention of that… which should be a great a great selling point. So, the service up to that point was great. 4 days later, I emailed the manufacturer about an issue where the pump was tripping the GFCI outlet. They were not as helpful with the trouble shooting. I managed to figure out and resolve the problem myself, which turned out to be the plug attached to a timer was getting wet. I had to encase that connection in a plastic bag, and the problem was resolved… but it would have been nice for them to help with the trouble shooting. This last experience makes me question what kind of support I will get going forward. So far, I do love the fountain and have no regrets about purchasing. Overall a great design with a major flaw. The drain plug at the bottom created a good seal the first 2 weeks, but now has a bad leak. I have 50 years of construction experience, and I have reset the plug twice, with no luck, This is a very frustrating problem; the designer needs a new engineer on the staff! Proper winterization must occur during placement in locations where temperatures dip below freezing.
While this is a beautiful fountain, we have yet to set it up without leaking. The leaking is occurring around the cord at the top of the stopper. According to instructions, should this leaking occur we must use 100% clear silicone to seal around the cord. This seems like a solution, but no silicone was provided in the kit. Now we must purchase this item before we can try to set up the fountain again. I think, for the price of the fountain, a tube of silicone should have been included. Linda.
