Emeco
The On & On stacking chair by Emeco is a practical piece with a purposeful build from London-based Barber and Osgerby that is a thoughtful combination of design, durability, and longevity. With a simple silhouette and lightweight design that allows it to both provide a comfortable seat and stack away neatly when not needed, this chair was created with a circular way of thinking - intended to be used again and again. Made and remade from recycled PET, the materials used to create this chair can be recycled again so it can go On & On and become something new.
Phillips Collection
Carved from solid Chamcha wood, an acacia species native to Thailand, this organic dining chair is understatedly beautiful on its own. The natural blonde sap line and visible wood grains, coupled with the smooth shape make this piece stand out without any extra bells and whistles. Sits on four solid wood legs. This piece is crafted from natural solid wood. The color and character of wood grain may vary and natural cracks and holes may be present adding a unique character to your piece.
Mattiazzi
Tronco appears to be a very basic chair, its seat formed from planks of wood joined together and mounted on round dowels. It is unlike any of Mattiazzi’s previous designs that have displayed a sculptural softness achieved by mechanically removing material. Instead, Tronco’s character is formed from solid strips of wood in what appears a very elementary construction, yet its simplicity is the result of iterative experimentation and high regard for material honesty. Tronco has surprisingly natural comfort and works well in multiples, not just alone. Its form is modest enough so that it takes on the appearance of "texture" when shown in numbers. Tronco, in effect, creates a terrain of its own in any architecture.
Robert Allen
One of the simplest pieces by Pouzet for Pirwi is the Pouzet Hourglass Birch Plywood Side Chair Black/Brown/Smoke. Its shape resembles that of an hourglass.
