Everywhere from a beautifully appointed ski chalet to a sophisticated city condo, the Crosby striped rug adds just the right touch of tonal pattern. Hand-knotted of pure high mountain wool, Crosby from Ralph Lauren Rugs is crafted by artisans replicating the timeless and enduring Tibetan weave.
Inspired by a trading blanket, the Taos rug combines ancient Soumak and Peshawar knotting techniques to create a modern expression of an exotic design. A blend of 65% high-quality wool and 35% natural cotton is dyed to create a striking sandstone colorway. The texture is heightened by using 50 to 60 knots per square inch and combining a raised cut pile Peshawar weave motif with the flatweave ground of Soumak hand-knotting.
Modeled on an 18th-century antique specimen Bokhara rug that recreated a centuries-old design from Eshkabad.
