This is a Louis XVI styled mahogany chest. It features classic Louis XVI styling with round fluted and tapered legs. The drawers are dovetailed and it has solid brass hardware. The drawer fronts, sides and top are swirly crotch mahogany. The finish is a steel wool rubbed satin.

Inspired by the tropical craftsmanship of the West Indies and the cane accents of the classic British and Dutch colonial design periods, the Charleston accent chest has bamboo-motif trim and lovely hand-painting on the drawer fronts with a heron and botanical design. The interiors of the 3 self-closing drawers are painted gray. Crafted in maple veneers, the chest is a beautifully dense and opaque color delivering a vintage vibe. The round knobs are antique bronze-colored.

Capturing the vintage charm of the coastal south, the Charleston two-door accent cabinet has two doors with soft-close hinges, decorative fretwork accents along the edges, and regionally-inspired hand painting and highlighting on the door fronts. Crafted of maple veneers, the cabinet is finished in Charleston green, a weathered interpretation of the dark, almost black green that adorns the trim, shutters, and doors across the historic district of Charleston. Loop pull hardware is in an antique pewter color. One adjustable shelf is behind the doors.

Designed in the spirit of 19th-century French originals, a galleried, rectangular cherry top rests over two storage drawers and graceful, tapering chamfered posts.

This piece was perfect. Well made and delivered early. I did order a sample of the finish because from the pictures I wasn’t sure it would work. This is a unicorn. It is well constructed and looks exactly like photos. I bought it for the unique size. Using it as a sideboard in dining room. The reason for 3 stars are the drawers. They are not full size drawers. About 10 inches. I'm using it for linen storage and even for that it is suspect. If you are looking for a very pretty, unusual chest-check.
