A vintage-style etching of a tree creates an intimate and pleasing composition in this timeless landscape.
I like the print, but was surprised to see that the frame is not what is shown on the webpage. The frame I received - while still be the same black and gold colors - is more ornate and elaborate than the clean simple look I thought I was getting. I would have preferred the cleaner look.. The artist, David Brown, studied and received his fine arts training at California State University of Long Beach and graduated with a BFA in Drawing and Painting in 2018. As a child, he watched his older brother draw and recalls wanting to draw just like him when he grew up. David currently lives in Long Beach, California, and has been lucky to show his work in multiple group shows and a few solo shows, mostly based in the Los Angeles area. His traditional work includes oil, charcoal, and graphite. He is strongly influenced by the renaissance, baroque, and a lot of today’s contemporary work. David’s work is predominately focused on the human figure. “People are my inspiration. I love learning people’s stories and try to capture the sitter’s narrative through my drawings/paintings…I love drawing people from life, I feel that my work focuses on the relationship between artist and model”. His art is his one true passion and he believes that “Artists are super sensitive and emotional human beings, our work is a physical representation of our thoughts and emotions, a diary that we choose to share with the world”.

Artist Zoey Riley was born to very conservative and traditional parents, who did not support her interest in fine arts. Zoey pursued her passion for fine art secretly as an adolescent, due to her parent’s restrictions, and used the art she viewed in galleries as her tutor. As soon as she was of age, she fled her hometown to live in New York City to be closer to a fast-paced environment, concentrated with art galleries. Zoey used everything around her to draw inspiration, from the street signs to the dancers seen through the windows of dance studios. After taking in all she could from the modern New York art scene, Zoey made her move to San Francisco, where she could expand her skills and be a part of the culture-filled scene. Today, she resides in Southern California, still searching for the experience that will take her to the next level.
