Jess has been painting with watercolors and oils on large canvases, small scraps of paper, and everything in between for as long as she can remember. She went to Savannah College of Art and Design, never thinking that one day she would “actually” become an artist. That took a bit longer to realize. But here she is, living the dream. Jess's mission is simple: to make beautiful work that makes people feel extraordinary. Her aesthetic is influenced by her African upbringing - using simple lines, rich colors, and organic shapes to capture life in every form. She believes the process is just as important as the outcome, when she's in a flow and she enjoys the process the work feels fresh, effortless, and alive. After she conceives a new idea she tries to spend some quality time with it - to let it sink in. Then usually the work comes out very quickly. If it doesn’t, she never forces it, she just goes outside for a bit, clears her head, and comes back later. It’s amazing what fresh air can do for perspective.

King Nebhepetre Mentuhotep II was revered by the Egyptians as the ruler who reunited Egypt after the era of disunity (the First Intermediate Period) that followed the end of the Old Kingdom. Descended from a family of Theban rulers, the king built his tomb and mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahri in western Thebes. The fine balance between figures and inscriptions on this block, as well as the clear outline and regular proportions of the king's image with its individualized facial features, exemplify the peak of a relief art that had developed over the decades while the vast temple complex was built and decorated.
Plum and gray lines are methodically illustrated within this composition.

Pharaoh mourns his son, a casualty of the plague God sent to free his people, in this visual depiction from the biblical book of Exodus. Dutch painter Alma-Tadema was known for his rich, classical subject matter including fine detail such as the shadowed figures of Moses and Aaron seen in this fine work. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand exclusively for Design Toscano. The imported, delicately carved hardwood frame boasts a delicate leaf motif with fine feathered detailing finished in antique gold tones.
In conjunction with authentic Egyptian designs for the film, Italian artist Matania produced a number of paintings of Egypt for Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille's masterpiece, "The Ten Commandments." Blessed with a photographic memory, the artist employed it fully in this Egyptian revival work that captures the splendor of the ancient world from haughty Queen Nefertiti in her royal chariot to the beauty of the temple horses with their dancing plumes.
