Peter De Boer is an Amsterdam-based artist who is inspired by the Neo-Romantic movement and his deep appreciation for nature. Peter paints utopic nature scenes, often with a path and a small cabin or treehouse, which transforms these rough landscapes into cultivated places. He paints landscapes that are still here, landscapes that will most likely disappear in our future, and landscapes he wants to preserve and keep safe by putting them in a painting. His work expresses the longing for a return to simplicity and nature.
